Partner Mindy H. Stern Lectures on Trusts and Estates Aspects of Real Estate Transactions

Mindy H. Stern was a featured speaker at the New York State Bar Association Real Property Law Section Summer Meeting in Ogunquit, Maine on July 17, 2009.

Ms. Stern's presentation, entitled “What Every Dirt Lawyer Should Know About Trusts and Estates”, provided a basic overview of federal and New York State estate and gift taxes. Ms. Stern also discussed how to help clients plan transfers of real property to lifetime trusts, upon death, or by gift, and which estate planning techniques are most appropriate for real estate.
