John O. Delamater

John O. Delamater’s area of concentration is estate and trust administration, including related property transactions, adversary proceedings and taxation issues. Among other things, Mr. Delamater is experienced in the drafting of wills, advance directive documents and trusts for various purposes. His practice includes planning for the continuity of businesses; use of family limited liability companies; succession planning; and general estate planning. His experience in adversary proceedings includes, among other things, discovery proceedings, turn-over proceedings, and contested trust documents and wills.

Representative Matters:

Retained by residuary legatee to represent her interests in a contested Probate Proceeding, where a natural heir of the decedent has filed Objections to the validity of the Will in Surrogates Court, Kings County.  Discovery completed; decision on motion for summary judgment pending presently.
