Christopher Milito

Mr. Milito concentrates in litigation and has worked on a variety of commercial and product liability matters for large corporate clients. Before joining the Firm, he had extensive trial experience including roles as lead counsel in 18 jury trials. Mr. Milito was an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, trying high profile felony cases involving narcotics and firearms trafficking. He obtained and prosecuted over 200 indictments. As part of his lead counsel responsibilities, he handled trial strategy, jury selection, expert scientific and lay witnesses, opening and closing statements, jury instructions and post-verdict practice. He initiated and conducted long-term grand jury investigations supervising federal and local law enforcement agents including the use of financial and communications evidence, confidential informants and surveillance.
Representative Matters
Recent engagements at the Firm include: the defense of mass pharmaceutical tort, involving over 250 plaintiffs alleging injury and death; defense of an environmental tort filed by a community water district against a Fortune 50 oil company for allegedly contaminating its wells with methyl tertiary-butyl ether; defense of international pharmaceutical company against claims alleged injury from use of an anti-anxiety medication. Mr. Milito is also pro bono counsel in a Section 1983 litigation concerning the alleged unlawful sexual examination of a minor female.
