Firm Represents City of Chicago in O'Hare Litigation Filed by Airlines

April 6, 2011

The Firm represented client City of Chicago in defense of a preliminary injunction proceeding and declaratory judgment action filed by United Air Lines and American Airlines in an effort to stop the completion phase of the O'Hare Modernization Program, a multi-year effort that is the largest civil construction program in the U.S. After expedited motion practice and discovery, the litigation was successfully resolved and the completion phase is proceeding. When the Program is complete, O'Hare will have eight modern runways, reducing flight delays and improving efficiency for travelers throughout the country. Firm lawyers who represented the City include Stephanie Scharf, Sarah Marmor, Deirdre Fox, George Sax and Mark Abellera.
