Firm Obtains Dismissal for Pfizer

The Firm obtained a dismissal of a failure to warn and wrongful death product liability lawsuit filed against client Pfizer due to an allegedly defective pharmaceutical product. The dismissal was based on the plaintiff’s counsel’s failure to comply with New York Judiciary Law §470, which requires that every attorney practicing in New York maintain a New York office, before commencing an action in the state. Partner Beth L. Kaufman and Associate Jonathan E. Foust worked on and drafted the brief. Associate Silvia L. Larizza argued the motion.
