SU&K Partners Barbieri, Newman, Stern and Connery Address NAWBO-NYC Membership Regarding Legal Issues Affecting Business Owners

Partners Laura Barbieri, Linda Newman, Mindy Stern and Nancy Connery presented "Legal Aspects of Managing Your Business" to members of the National Association of Women Business Owners - NYC Chapter on March 8, 2007. The event was hosted by First Republic Bank. Ms. Barbieri reviewed employment law basics, including hiring practices, employment laws and managing employees. Ms. Newman provided an overview of estate planning issues for small business owners. Ms. Stern discussed selecting and forming a business entity. Ms. Connery highlighted the key economic issues to consider when leasing an office.
