Partner Mindy Stern Speaks at New York State Bar Association "Tax Aspects of Real Property Transactions" Program

On June 4 and June 5, 2008, Mindy Stern presented the "Trusts and Estates" section of the New York State Bar Association program "Tax Aspects of Real Property Transactions." More than 200 attendees heard Ms. Stern provide an overview of the federal and New York State estate and gift tax laws, and discuss joint property ownership arrangements, revocable and irrevocable trusts (including credit shelter trusts, qualified terminable interest trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, and other intervivos and testamentary trusts), family limited partnerships, and valuation discounts.
