Partner Mindy H. Stern to Present Primer on Cooperatives and Condominiums to Trusts and Estates Attorneys

Mindy H. Stern will be speaking at the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law Section Meeting on April 20, 2007 in Binghamton, New York. Ms. Stern will (1) summarize the basic ownership structure of condominiums and cooperatives and their respective transfer requirements; (2) describe the most common forms of trusts and other entities that residential cooperatives and condominiums are asked to accommodate; (3) explain the typical concerns of cooperatives and condominiums when the owner of the unit is someone (or something) other than an individual owner-occupant; and (4) outline usual and customary transfer requirements imposed by Boards of Directors of cooperatives and Boards of Managers of condominiums relating to estates and trusts.
