Norman L. Greene Writes on Judicial Selection Reform for the Fordham Urban Law Journal
Norman L. Greene organized and moderated a unique all-day symposium held on April 7, 2006 at Fordham Law School entitled “Rethinking Judicial Selection: A Critical Appraisal of Appointive Selection for State Court Judges.” In 2007, the Fordham Urban Law Journal published an entire issue consisting of approximately 20 papers from participants in the symposium. Included in the symposium issue are Mr. Greene’s model statute for appointing judges entitled “The Judicial Independence Through Fair Appointments Act,” 34 Ford. Urb. L.J. 13 (2007), and his article on the symposium and judicial selection reform generally, entitled “What Makes a Good Appointive System for the Selection of State Court Judges: The Vision of the Symposium,” 34 Ford. Urb. L. J. 35 (2007).
