Norman L. Greene Writes About Judicial Selection Reform, Qualifications and Independence
Norman L. Greene has recently published an article entitled "Appointive Selection of Judges, Limited Jurisdiction Courts with Non-Lawyer Judiciaries, and Judicial Independence" in Court Review, a publication of the American Judges Association. The article addresses many aspects of our third branch of government, including choice and design of the selection system, comparison of alternative methods of selection and the effect of the system on judicial performance and decision making; lower court judges without law degrees; and the concept of judicial independence.
