Stephanie Scharf Comments in American Lawyer on Equity Partnership for Women Lawyers

Partner Stephanie Scharf, chair of the National Survey on Retention and Promotion of Women in Law Firms sponsored by the National Association of Women Lawyers and the NAWL Foundation, was quoted in Am Law Daily, February 24, 2010, on the topic of equity partnership for women in large law firms and the difficulty of obtaining accurate statistics. Ms. Scharf is a member of the Coalition for Advancement of Women in Law, a national consortium of organizations representing women lawyers and organizations. One of CAWL’s early projects is to determine the most feasible way to measure and obtain reliable statistics about equity partnership from firms.
