Joan Slavin Speaks at Chicago Bar Association on Strategies for Returning to a Legal Career

Joan Slavin, Of Counsel in the Chicago Office, was an invited speaker at a March 11, 2008 CLE seminar sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association, which focused on returning to the practice of law after time away to raise children. Ms. Slavin spoke to an audience of approximately 75 attorneys about the pros and cons of leaving the workforce, pointers for returning to the workforce after an extended time away, and the advantages and challenges of telecommuting and part-time schedules. Ms. Slavin also discussed the flexible work arrangements that are available to lawyers in the Firm.
